This Standard Auction is a 7 day listing on eBay with a gallery picture for searching, unlimited pictures of the item and an opening price of $9.99.  A low starting price attracts more bidders and increases bidding activity throughout the auction.

Auction Fees

The Protected Price Auction has the same features as a Standard Auction but gives you the option to set your starting price.  Although setting a higher starting price is not recommended since it limits interest and slows bidder activity, this 7 day auction allows you to protect your investment with minimal risk.  You are recommended to start with the absolute lowest you will take for your item.  You will only pay this fee if your item does not sell.  If it does sell, we only charge the final sales fee.  You won’t get an offer like that from any newspaper classified section!  Here is a list of fees based on opening prices:

Listing Fees

Dropaid offers two types of listing fees depending on your selling strategy that covers most items for sale.  Contact us for fees on high ticket items.

Dropaid collects fees from the final sale of the item based on  a competitive diminishing percentage table.  These fees DO NOT include shipping and handling charges which are paid for by the buyer.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Keep in mind a few things when looking at this commission scale.  First, in addition to sales fees, other drop-off auction stores may charge extra fees for payment processing and listing.  We are the only drop-off store that offers free listing fees if your item sells the first time and has no additional payment processing fees.  Second, the average traditional brick-and-mortar consignment store charges a flat 50%-60% of the final price.   Most auction houses start out at 50% consignment and go down from there.  When you use Dropaid, the more you make, the less we take. Finally,  your item is offered to a worldwide marketplace with millions of potential buyers which will get you a higher final price.  How can you go wrong?

The Fixed Price w/ Offers Listing  is yet another option to sell your item.  This 7 day listing allows you to have your high-end asking price on the listing with an area that prospective buyers can submit their offers to you.  Dropaid will act as your broker and accept the best offer based on your lowest acceptable price.  Fixed price listings are not allowed for items under $50.  The listing schedule is as follows:

Starting with a low price in a Standard Auction is an almost guaranteed way for your item to sell.  If you decide to use our Protected Price Listing or Fixed Price w/ Offers Listing and your item does not sell, you are welcome to re-list your item with Dropaid at 1/2 price of your first listing fee per week for as many weeks as you like!  If you do sell your item, the listing fees for the week that your item sold only will be deducted from the final sales fee.  It is strongly recommended to consider lowering your price before re-listing.

Example: You list an item at $250 in a Protected Price Listing and it finally sells on the 4th week.  Your initial fee would $10 for the first week and $5 per week for three weeks for a total of $25.  Since your item sold in the 4th week which had a $5 listing fee, only $5 will be deducted from the final sales fee.
